All non-profit organizations soliciting funds over the internet are required to register with each state in the United States. Each state has different filing requirements and different annual fees for filing. American Friends of Belize is currently in the registration process with all the states, but this does require annual funding. Just to register in all the states would require several thousand dollars a year.
At this time, AFB can receive donations from residents of the following 30 states:
