Transfer of Securities
Securities are an excellent way to give to a charity. The most effective way to transfer securities is by using a "DTC Transfer", resulting in an electronic transfer of the securities to American Friends of Belize. To perform a DTC Transfer, please call American Friends of Belize to get the proper account information. The donor must write a short letter to their broker or securities administrator stating:
Please transfer "X number" shares of "ABC" company (Stock Symbol) from my account (use your account number) to the following account: (this information will be provided to you by American Friends of Belize when you call - 251-234-0836).
After giving the above instructions, please send the following information to:
dsturm ["at" symbol] americanfriendsofbelize (period) org
1. Date of Transaction
2. Number of shares transferred and name of company
3. Your name and mailing information so a receipt for the donation can be mailed to you.
