There are two ways for you to donate: be an armchair volunteer and donate by using Goodsearch.com during your normal Internet searches and shopping sprees; donate below with your pocketbook, or make an in-kind donation of materials to a specific organization. Any way you choose, American Friends of Belize and our partners appreciate your support!

Monetary Donations:
No matter how small or large, your donation can make an difference in Belize.  $5, $10, $20 or larger amounts can help move projects forward.  American Friends of Belize is a tax-exempt 501 (c) (3) public charity formed in the State of Alabama in the United States of America.  All donations can be deducted on the itemized form of U.S. taxes. AFB's U.S. Federal Tax I.D. number is 36-4517663.

Beginning in 2009, American Friends of Belize is accepting donations only from people in Alabama.

Many people wonder where their money goes when they donate to an organization.  At American Friends of Belize, a minimum of 85% of donations go to programs directly impacting people and places in Belize while a maximum of 15% of donations go to cover administrative costs such as registering in each state and paying for this website. There are no paid employees at American Friends of Belize. Everyone involved donates their time. 

Giving is Easy

1.  Decide: "Yes! I want to give a gift to help American Friends of Belize"

2.  Decide where you want the gift to go...   TIDE, ACES, or Humanitarian Aid (such as hurricane relief)

3.  Decide on the form of contribution you wish to make: offline cash donation, employer matching gifts.

4. Take action now!

Donations are no longer being accepted through JustGive. Please use the offline donation form.

Offline Cash Donations:

Just print out our donation form, complete and mail in to:  P.O. Box 850053, Mobile, AL  36685-0053.  Our physical address is: 1006 Louise Ave., Mobile, AL 36609, but please send all mail to the post office box.

Employer Matching Gifts for gifts of cash:

Many U.S. corporations match gifts to qualified charities.  Your tax-deductible cash donation to American Friends of Belize may be eligible for a corporate matching gift from your employer.  This could double or even triple your donation to American Friends of Belize.  Please take a few moments to request a Matching Gift Form from your personnel office and follow the directions to initiate a match.
